Meet Giselle, Humanim\u2019s talented Talent Acquisition Recruiter.<\/p>\n
Giselle is responsible for finding great candidates to fill positions throughout the organization; that includes finding and screening candidates, checking their credentials and working with managers on interviews. She organizes hiring events and takes part in community events to look for great candidates. And she makes employment offers to all new hires.<\/p>\n
With such a big organization, her job stays busy. \u201cThere\u2019s a constant need to recruit \u2013 for entry-level positions or when people leave,\u201d Giselle says. \u201cThere\u2019s definitely always work for me!\u201d<\/p>\n
She has been with Humanim for over two and a half years, and she has more than 20 years of recruiting experience \u2013 with nonprofits, banks, staffing firms and others. Giselle works from Orlando, Fla., but comes to Humanim regularly. She values the opportunity to meet Humanim employees in person and see first-hand the work they do for our clients.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s when I feel really good about my work. I can see the passion. I can see what hiring decisions can do in someone\u2019s life,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s such a heartfelt feeling \u2013 that conversation I had with a person months ago has translated into making such an impact in clients\u2019 lives. Engaging with our clients and seeing what our employees accomplish on a daily basis, that\u2019s what gets me going. It makes me believe that what I do is important. We have to bring only the best people to work with our clients because they deserve that.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a testament to her commitment and ability to hire great candidates, Giselle recently won Humanim\u2019s i25 award, which is given to employees who go above and beyond expectations.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was shocked and surprised that I had received nominations from people who work with me,\u201d she says of the award. \u201cI was just happy to find out that people thought I go above and beyond. I was really honored by that.\u201d<\/p>\n
When she\u2019s not recruiting for Humanim, Giselle works as a fitness instructor and holds approximately 10+ teaching certifications. She works with many different populations, including seniors, adults and people with physical and mental disabilities.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so lucky to work in places where I can be inclusive. I work for the YMCA, and they really welcome everyone,\u201d she says. \u201cMy favorite to teach are seniors \u2013 it\u2019s always a party to teach their class. That\u2019s one of the things I enjoy the most in life.\u201d<\/p>\n
A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Giselle loves to travel and recently went to Panama, where she has family. \u201cI became a godmother! That was amazing to see my goddaughter baptized and spending meaningful time with my family.\u201d<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, Giselle would love to help improve some of Humanim\u2019s systems and trainings. \u201cI\u2019d like to be part of improving what we’re doing and really be the best at what we do in the market.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
